We are excited to partner with Active Youth Wisconsin our WI Tri Series official charity partner and The Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park.
Active Youth Wisconsin is a Dane County nonprofit committed to providing accessible opportunities for kids to be active in a generation when they move less than ever.
Their initiatives foster inclusivity, promote self-confidence, work ethic and positive peer interactions so that all children, regardless of background, can benefit from the physical and mental health advantages that regular activity provides. Through events, afterschool programs, grants and more, they're helping kids becomes the best versions of themselves.
The Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support the Wisconsin DNR with our muscle, our might and minds at Devil’s Lake State Park. We partner with Park staff and volunteers to complete environmental and beautification projects, sponsor educational and recreational visitor activities, and raise funds to support Park projects and initiatives like the Interpretive Center.
Donations to the Friends will go toward the Campaign for America’s State Park, to build a much-needed center at the park to teach visitors about its features, history, culture and the forces that made it. The center is designed to promote stewardship to sustain this special place for next generations, and to meet visitors’ needs 365 days a year!
The center will feature interactive, multimedia exhibits, classrooms, outdoor learning areas and programming that will be second to none. This year-round, multi-use center will be a hub of learning, will enhance park operations and serve our Devil’s Lake community.
